A journey of flavors, where sausages become a symbol of cultural fusion and culinary exploration.
-
Lardo is a fast-casual restaurant specializing in handcrafted charcuterie. They go beyond the ordinary sausage, and as a brand, they're passionate about educating their customers on the vast variety of charcuterie that can be created through different ingredients and processes.
-
Charcuterie has been a part of human life since the inception of the first writing system and can be found in almost every corner of the globe.
The development of their graphic identity involved extensive research, and uncovered fascinating information on the subject—ranging from chocolate sausages to underground markets following Constantine's prohibition and the use of the most unexpected ingredients.
-
The aim was to encapsulate the wide array of charcuterie, its stories, ingredients, and regions in their identity. It all began by creating a structural framework that allowed to craft diverse textures through geometric shapes. This exercise also greatly influenced the logo design.
-
The sausage, in a way, symbolizes this syncretism, the cultural blend that exists through food, the world, its history, and culture.
I adore these textures as they bring dynamism through the rearrangement of the same visual "ingredients." The color palette, textures, and shapes do a fantastic job of communicating the diversity inherent in a strong and consistent brand.
